Brooklyn's

Batting at home place
Racing base to base
Outfield players catching pop-ups
"Out" yells the umpire when the batter has three strikes
Keeping yoiur eye on the ball
Letting the time run from you
Yelling coming from the bleachers
Never getting defeated

Kaylie's Acrostic Poem

Kindling the fire
Ablaze in the midnight sky
Yawns bounce with the light breeze
Locusts chirping
In a sweet melody
Entrancing

Magic is cards, paint, disappearing
Acts, and flying
Tricking the audience
Tapping a
Hat; here comes a man
Entering with a
Wand.

Instructions to Make a Poem Poem

Keeping time could make it rhyme.
End it with an exclamation point or put it together like a bone and joint.
No sentence has to rhyme, just go wild.
Don't rush through it; I know you can do it.
All day is how long you have to save.
Leave joy and laughter with a happily ever after.
Living a poet's life.
Ian Robicheaux

Rowing down the mouth of the Mississippi River I can see the
Ocean glittering with the
Bright and huge sun
Irritating eyes even bieng so elegant
Cursing the shadows as it
Hurtles down the sky
Enhancing it with beauty at its most.
All so beautiful. I think of how it will be the same tommorow
Unless I'm not in this same spot
"eXciting" ,I whisper, and slowly drift to sleep.
